follow: NM: Rick Bunker, Audrey Coon Jeremy Kapellas, Rob Freinbuner, Pete Perez

The Awareness
Team is kicking ass and taking names. It is so amazing that a small group of
individuals can teach so many students. But hell…..we are not complaining. The team is working to keep the roads safe for all of us. Don’t forget to help them with the monies necessary to provide the awareness training by checking
the box on your membership renewal forms. By doing so you are donating an extra
5.00 to the cause. It is the easiest way possible to help the cause. As always the Awareness Team is continually looking for additional sites to host a class. If you have contacts
with local schools or driving education programs, please let Mike know. If you
are interested in being an instructor, don’t hesitate, all help is appreciated!!!!On to the Legislative Report.
The Legislative
Officers and Region 20 members are busy gathering legislative news and contacting our local representatives. Marty and Bus are doing a fantastic job. I hope you had the
opportunity to attend our Annual Freedom Rally in Lansing on June 8th. It is a great opportunity to visit your
local legislative representative and show your support. Numbers will make the
difference. In a short time we are hopeful to have our bill presented to governor
for a signature. Without giving out too many details, we have a very good response. Check out our state legislature J. Rhodes page for the most recent updates. On to the Cares of concerns/Products Report.
Cupcake
and Amanda are your products agents for Region 20. Check out their supply of
region t- shirts and apparel. Special orders are available. You will just need
to pay for the item(s) at the time of order. Really have some “cool stuff”. With the summer here..don’t forget your Region 20 beach towel. All you will need is the sand and sun. Come to a local
meeting and check out our new items. For cares and concerns, we are fortunate
that we are doing well. Probably nothing we want to take for granted. So for this moment we will be thankful. On to the Regional Coordinator report.
Well the
11th Annual Bikin for Burns will be officially closed this weekend, after the Axemen’s Run this weekend. Let’s hope the weather will be good. It
couldn’t be much worse than the day of Bikin for Burns. What a shitty day. There really isn’t no other words to express the lousy weather. It was thankfully a safe ride. Unfortunately with the Bikin
for Burns event itself we didn’t make our goal. So I am praying for tomorrow’s
ride. A portion of the monies from the Axemen’s Ride will be deposited
into ourBikin for Burns account. I will have more information regarding the sum
of the both events in the next edition of the mag. It must be mentioned thank
you everyone who braved the weather to ride in the event and those that worked their buns off the day of the event. For all of those participants we would like to say Thank You!!!!!
Region 20 could have never accomplished such a seamless event without you. You
are the reason the event is so well known as a well oiled machine. Not one person
can take the glory. It is a TEAM EFFORT.
Next week we will be spending some time in hell!!!! We are hoping for
ONE HELL OF A GOOD TIME!!!!! Is there anywhere we go that we don’t do so? Nope. If we go together it is guaranteed to be filled with fun and memories that will be
unforgettable. We do have a new grill this year.
Let’s hope we keep the fire near the burners…lol…I will definitely update you on the festivities.
We have
added an additional event to our summer of 11. Our 2nd Annual Freedom
Ride will take place on July 24th. It is a poker run, starting at
the Hickory Lounge in Corunna Michigan and ending at the Kimberly’s Pub. So
if you haven’t been able to attend a meeting in a while. You will have
the opportunity to see how awesome our meeting spots are. Owner Terry at the
Hickory and Bruce at Kimberly’s Pub are supporters of Region 20. Yeah we
are lucky!!!! Hope to see you there. As
a note: 100% of the monies raised from the ride stays in Region 20.
Mark your
calendars: July’s meeting is cancelled in Genesee and Shiawassee due to
the July 4th holiday and an overall approval of the region. So we
will see you in August!!!!! or in July at the Freedom Ride. Hope to see you then
Well it’s
time to close…As always, if you haven’t attended a meeting lately, please do..we host two meetings a month; one
in Genesee the 1st Monday of the month at Kimberly’s Pub and the 1st Sunday of the month in Shiawassee at the Hickory Lounge. If you can’t
do to personal obligations, we understand..we know you are here in spirit…. Check out our website at: http://www.abatemichregion20.com
