Randy's RC Report: 12th Annual Bikin
For Burns, with wishy washy weather we did pretty good!!! Gaines and Forest Township
almost received all the funds they needed. A HUGE
THANK YOU to all that attended, donated, supported and volunteered for the event!!
Thanks to Missy's mom and dad for their donation! Great Job!!! We couldn't have done it without the support of a fantastic Mayor and very supportive Chief of Police!! No incidents, except Kritter dropping his bike on his leg—he is better now—no
more cane, or so we think.
The Axemen Fun Run, had a great turn out as well. Thanks to Rocky's Great Outdoors and all others that participated, volunteered and
donated!! ABATE Region 20 gives the Axemen MI-6 a tremendous thank you for supporting
Bikin' for Burns!!! Thank you to all fire fighters out there for risking their
lives every day!!!
Field Meet is just about here and we will have more details
next month! Great bands, great people, vendors, food, swimming, games, and much
more to be had at this ABATE of Mi Event. Should we say, what happens at Field
Meet says at field meet??? Thanks to all who assisted with making another event
successful.
Please don't forget to push the bike raffle tickets. No July meeting for Region 20 and a combined meeting on Sept. 9 in Shiawasee.
For the open discussion, JoMamma announced she had a GREAT
membership drive at Bikin' for Burns, so thanks to all that signed up or renewed.
Bubbles presented Ray Martin with an plaque and calendar
from the Hands Free Man for his assistance on his journey. Too bad he was cut
off in Bowling Green and had to grab his handlebars!
50/50 this month was won by Gary (Weeno)
and he donated ½ back!!! Thanks so much, Gary!!! Great turn out for this meeting
with over 50 attendees.
