Helllllo Region 20!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours. How about this December weather? Have you put your bike up for the season? Have you gotten it back out? It warms my heart to hear bikes roaring down the road in December.

No new members or guests. Secretary and Treasurer Reports were read and accepted. LO Report was read by Kritter in Marte's absence. Jim Rhoades has a nicely laid out Legislative Agenda for 2015 listed on page 15 of the December Rider. It clearly lists out the legislation that ABATE supports and does not support. Are you guilty of only reading the Region's Rider Report? Please educate yourself on the 2015 Legislation and join the fight to be heard if you haven't already done so. We have won the battle but we will not win the war if we are not heard and fight to maintain our rights.

Awareness taught 188 more students and they are not stopping there. I'm so excited to see if we are going to break 1,000 this year! Great job Awareness Team! Thank you Lisa Vail for your hard work and efforts with Awareness. For all of those who were not at the meeting, Lisa is going to dedicate her time to her schooling and will be stepping down as Awareness Director. We wish you best of luck Lisa and hope to still see your face around. With that being said, we are looking for help with teaching classes. Calling all Awareness Soldiers! We need you on the front line. If you have some spare time, please see Kritter.

Happy Birthday Bubbles (11th) and Kritter (28th)! No Anniversaries to report this month. Please keep Bubbles in your thoughts, her father has been ill and needs prayers. Larry and Carrie Flood's friend had a baby born with Down Syndrome, please keep their family in your thoughts. Ron Conroy's son, Tony, fell from a ladder and broke his elbow, having surgery - ouch! Heal up quick Tony! Santa has been medically cleared - Ho Ho Ho!

Speeeeaking of Ho Ho Ho's - there were some very happy kids at the Christmas Party and lots of yummy food and drinks! Thank you to all that came out to participate, we hope you had a great time as well. Thank you to Boo Boo, Bubbles, Kritter, Shannon for setting up the hall. Kritter for supplying the sloppy joe's, thanks! Santa and Mrs. Claus, as always thanks for keeping the magic alive for our families. You really do bring a special gift to our Region, thank you. Whoever made the peppermint fudge.. my bathroom scale is really mad at you! LOL

Congratulations Ron Conroy on the complete money sweep - Ron won the $25 Visa Gift Card for the Membership Referral Program and also 50/50 and generously donated back, thank you Ron! You lucky guy, you! Sandra, thanks for becoming a member and I hope Ron buys you something nice!

Secure your room for Seminar - January 22-24th in Grand Rapids. 616-363-9001 Riverfront Hotel - see the flyer for specific accommodations. Lots of good information and your votes matter!

Bikin for Burns is around the corner, please start thinking of ideas to bring to the table - we will be announcing the Committee Meeting date soon.  Next meeting will be January 3rd and 4th, please mark your calendars and plan to attend!

Until next time, Ride Safe and Ride Free. (And Warm)
