at the Capital Building
on March 2nd (tomorrow). She contacted 5 representatives and got a
response from Woodrow Stanley. You go Girl!!! Woodrow
showed interest in coming to a Region 20 meeting, so he may attend the April 5th combined meeting. If Woodrow attends
it will be a want we want to know Q&A session. Please remember to be respectful
and not be pissy. Marte will know for sure if he will attend by April 1st.
Marte will post it on the Forum on the ABATE of Mi website on April 2nd
if Woodrow will be at the meeting!!! Reminder about the forum, please don’t
talk about specific people. Other organizations paid their money and can see
everything out there.

We spent $55.92 on a very special
honorary Region 20 member. There is a very special 19 year old male who is the
son of a couple of our members who loves ABATE, especially Region 20. He is wearing
out his Region 20 Hoodie, so we bought him a vest, ABATE Region 20 patch and Biking for Burns patches. Well, this young man loves the vest and wears it everyday. Thanks
for Giving a Shit guys!!! That is what we are all about!!!!
The biggest fundraiser for ABATE
is HERE and proceeds go to ABATE of MI. Please try and sell some of the State Raffle Tickets for the 2010 ElectraGlide motorcycle. The bike will be given away at the Sturgis Toy Run on September 11, 2010. See Mike (Kritter) for tickets. The person who sells the most
tickets will receive a gift from Mac and Holly. Money will be collected in August. We were the 3rd highest donator this year, let’s beat that for this
year!!!
Randy wanted to say Thanks for
Giving a Shit to all Region 20 members who contributed to the packages for “our” family in the armed forces. There were 2 HUGE care packages went overseas and was a very emotional experience for
Randy. Randy had 5 people in the Post Office clap for his and our efforts. Santa John’s son received a package with a wonderful letter written by Georgia for Region 20 and cried!! Thank you to Zip for the spark of this idea and we will be doing this again in 2011, so let’s all
try and put some things aside during the upcoming holiday season for “our” family members overseas.
50/50 this month at Genesee was won by Ron and he gave $20 to Gary Slawter.
BOTH Meetings for April will
be combined into one at Kimberly’s Pub on Monday, April 5th at 7pm.
