Hello Region 20 members, family and friends. Unfortunately due to the timing of the newsletter and the July meetings, I am unable to acknowledge new
members and guests. I will acknowledge these individuals in the August newsletter.
As mentioned in earlier editions of the magazine, the Awareness
Team is continuing to work hard to protect the area motorcyclists. They have
several meetings scheduled each month. With only a handful of instructors, the
team could use your help. The number of individuals that will be taught in 2009 will surpass last year’s numbers. On to the RC report…
Hopeful you were able to attend our State Field meet in
Oil
City. It was a great time. Region 20 members had a record number of attendees.
Over 80 Region 20 members attended. It was a great time. Special thanks to everyone who helped out in the kitchen. Special
acknowledgment goes to Gary “Flatbed” Wiens who
made Saturdays dinner. It was awesome.
I would also like to acknowledge Mac and Holly McCraken who sold our “early” tickets. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to attend. We really enjoyed seeing all of the newer members at
the event and participating in the “festivities”. Alter Ego played Friday night and “totally” rocked. As you all know Alter Ego plays at Bikin for Burns every year. Yes, we had rain..but what the hell…at least it didn’t snow.
Region 20 would like to acknowledge Robin “Bubbles”
Goyette and Terry “Cupcake” Berger as our members of the month. Both
of these individuals do a great job. Robin is our Treasurer and Terry is our
previous Cares and Concerns for Shiawassee and newly appointed Area Coordinator. Special thanks to all of their efforts. It is individuals as such that keep the “ball a rolling”.

Well it’s
time to close…As always, if you haven’t attended a meeting lately, please do..we host two meetings a month; one
in Genesee the 1st Tuesday of the month at Kimberly’s Pub and one the Sunday
following the 1st Tuesday of the month in Shiawassee at the Hickory Lounge.
