At the Davison Fire Department, in early
August, the smoke house that Bikin' for Burns helped them acquire was on display. There
was a wonderful article in the Davison Index about B4B and ABATE. The smokehouse
was awesome and even had a tornado simulator. A great tool for kids to learn
from and adults too!!! Thanks to Region 20 and all the people who support our
event, we helped the Davison Fire Department upgrade from a lower version of the smokehouse to the one that was $63,000.
End of the Year Party was at Randy and Georgia's on August 28. It was a fabulous
time, so for those of you that missed it, hope to see you next year. We had bike
games, great music by an awesome DJ. The girls did cat calls at the construction
workers next door. And with the theme Cowboys and Indians, I think we even burned
someone at the stake.
And before our next meeting is our 11th
Annual Fall Color Tour on Saturday, October 2 a 65 mile ride. The event starts
at Top End Cycle on Dort Highway. $10 per person with the proceeds going to Region 20. Registration

October 24, is the swap meet in Birch Run. We are looking for volunteers to sign
up. Sign up sheets have been started at the September meeting and will be at
the next meeting.
The first Saturday in December is Region
20's Xmas party. Oh, Gosh, it is just around the corner. Better not pout, you better not cry, cause Santa is watching.
January, you know what that means---SEMINAR!!!
Woo Hoo!!! Gotta love Seminar with all the free classes and all you can learn. That is a great time to nextwork with other ABATE people from other regions. The only thing it will cost you is the price of a room and a lunch/dinner ticket (if
you want to do that). Might want to look at a room.
Just a reminder, Region 20 elections are
coming up. If you have anyone in mind for a position (RC, secretary, treasurer,
etc.), feel free to nominate someone.
50/50 this month was won by Ron. Way to go!!!
