Hello Region 20 members, family and friends.

As we mentioned last month, the membership at June’s meeting decided to not have a July meeting due to the July 4th holiday.  I hope you were able to take the time and spend it with family and friends.

If you were able to come to our 1st Annual Abate State Field Meet in Hell Michigan…I am sure you had a great time.  What a great place to visit and host our event.  The area is beautiful and the park management team of the Forbidden Wheels was “first class”.  Special thanks to “Dice” who did a fantastic job seeing that the park was ready for us and covered our needs through the weekend.  The “Olympic” size pool was a “hit”.  There is nothing like lying out next to a pool in the heat of the day with friends and partying at night.  As far as the Bike games, Region 20 did well.  The tire toss was a new one for me to see this year. …and “yes” we beat Region 18 for 1st place. Special thanks to Kevin “shooter” Wheaton who built our Region 20 “dollar” Shot Bar.  It was a huge success.  It was awesome.  Special thanks to Dano from the Axemen who worked endless hours at our “grand opening” and throughout the weekend.  Thank you to everyone else who pulled shifts and helped our cause.  Everyone had a great time.  Hell of a place for a Bike Event….lol….Thank you to everyone who attended the event and made it a success.  If you weren’t able to attend the event due to personal reasons…..we really hope you are able to do so next year…..We are all looking forward to next year.

Our next event will be on July 24, 2011.  Region 20 will be hosting our Annual Freedom Ride.  Remember this is a Region 20 Event.  We appreciate everyone’s attendance.

As a reminder Region 20’s End of the Year Party will be held on August 27th at our house.  Party starts 4pm.  Bike games at 6pm. Bring a dish to pass and your favorite beverage.  Camping is available and encouraged.  Contact Randy for more information.

I have no further updates from the Awareness Team or Legislative Officer’s.  For additional information check out the Awareness Section of the mag as well as the State LO page.

Well   it’s time to close…As always, if you haven’t attended a meeting lately, please do...we host two meetings a month; one in Shiawassee the 1st Sunday of the month at the Hickory Lounge in Corunna and Genesee the 1st Monday of the month at Kimberly’s Pub.  If you can’t attend due to personal obligations, we understand...we know you are here in spirit….
