August 4th meeting came to order at 7:06pm.
Pledge of allegiance said and a prayer by John.
There were 18 members in attendance and 1 guest Patti Covert.

Lisa read Awareness report:
   Thank you Marte for stepping up to help out with Awareness Classes. I still need at least 2 more people to step up so that we can take on another school. Mike motioned that we send in the money for our 2014 Awareness patch on our Banner and it passed.

Marte read Legislative report:
  At Freedom Rally in June we got wet. Attendance was low but thank you to everyone that did come out. Thank you to John “Santa” Langworthy for agreeing to step up to read Marte’s report while she and Zip are hibernating.

Bryan read Cares and Concerns:
   August birthdays; Dan “DD” Hill on the 5th, Debra Hurd on the 7th and Kathy Robinson on the 19th. Please keep Paul and his family, Margret"50/50", Bryan, his sister and his mother in your thoughts and prayers.
    TC has put together a memorial ride for Larry Scott on Aug 12. A ride from Kritters house (leaving at 6pm) to DTE Energy Theatre, to see Chicago and REO Speed Wagon (it starts at 7:30). Please contact TC or Kritter for more details.
    Zip has raffle tickets that need to be sold to raise money for the Safe Center (formerly RAVE). Zip is not putting together a ride this year. The raffle tickets are $10 a piece, 400 total tickets will be sold and the last ticket drawn will be for $400. The 1st, 20th, 120th, 220th, and 320th ticket drawn will win $20. The 50th, 150th, 250th, and 350th ticket drawn will win $50 and the 100th, 200th and 300th ticket drawn will win $100. Please get in touch with Zip, Bryan, Marte or Lisa to buy your tickets and Zip if you are interested in selling some. The drawing will be Sept. 20 at 4pm at the Hickory Lounge; you do not need to be present to win. We are working on an auction if anyone wants to bring some donations, more details later.
 
Bryan read the R.C. report:
    On Monday August 25th we are having a second August meeting at Jacks Place, 124 N Cherry St, Flushing, MI 48433. 6pm for officers and 7pm for the members meeting. The 1st September meeting will be Monday Sept. 8 (the second Monday (as Labor Day is the first)) at D-Railed in Durand and  the new 2nd meeting will be on the 3rd Sunday of the month and we will keep you posted as to where.
    As we are going back to 2 meetings we would like to have a few more people step up for officer positions. We need a 2nd L.O., a 2nd Sargent of Arms, and a 2nd Area Coordinator. We now need 2 Cares and Concerns officers and 2 membership officers.
    Bryan has gotten a table at Bikes on the Bricks Sept. 12, 13 and 14 to try to increase membership. If anyone is interested in helping out please contact Bryan.
    At Hell Creek Ranch on Sept. 12, 13, and 14 we are having a combined End of Summer party. Please call Hell Creek Ranch to book your camp site by Aug 11.
    We need some folks to help out at the Oct. 19 Swap Meet in Birch Run. Please contact Bryan for more information.
Congratulations to Marte and Lisa on passing their Basic Rider Courses.
