The

of allegiance said and prayer by Santa.
Secretary,
Treasurers, Legislative,
M&E, Care & Concerns and R.C. reports read and accepted.
Meeting
came to close at 8:07pm.
In
both meetings we discussed:
L.O. Report: H.B
5438 Nathans Law/Awareness bill has passed through the senate and is now on the
Governor Snyder’s desk. Call and thank
your reps and senators. Call Governor
Snyder and tell him that you want him to sign this bill. Marte thanked Larry
and John for stepping up
to read her reports. Please keep in mind that elections are coming up. The Rider
has a list in the October issue of
who supports ABATE and who doesn’t. Please vote. Also our officer elections are upon us and
Marte would like to remain the Region 20 L.O. but she encourages others to step
up as we are one region with two counties and an additional L.O. would be a
benefit to our region.
Care and Concerns: Oct. birthdays; Guy (Bastard) O’Berry 3,
Charles Short 4, Jeremy Langworthy 5, Tim
(Snap) Heath 14, Rich (A**Hole) Turchi 18 and Terry (Boo Boo) Goyette 22. Please
pray for Papa T’s health.

was
passed.
Member of the Year for
2014 is Lisa Vail. (Note from Lisa: I am
truly honored and blessed to be part of ABATE Region 20. I am so grateful to
all of our members and how hard we all work to make our Region and the State so successful. I believe in what we do and I know that
it needs to be done. I can’t do what I do without all of your help. So
thank you for all that you do).
Next meetings are November
2 at Hickory Lounge in Owosso at 2pm and November 3 at VFW Hall in Burton at
7pm.
Remember that nominations
for officer positions will be submitted at the November meetings so if you want
to run for any officer position that is the time to speak up. There will only
be one December Meeting on the
8th at the VFW Hall in Burton, because we will have the vote for officers that
day.
