Holy Romance! The
Valentine Day party was an amazing success! Doing it the way that only Region
20 knows how to: the decor was phenomenal (thank you Events team) and food was
amazing. Everyone came dressed to impress and had a wonderful time. Special
thanks to Bubbles for the auction items.
Only one person almost messed up the chivalry rule (you know who you
are). Way to be ever charming gentlemen!
The March 1st meeting at the Hickory Lounge
was neat. With 10 people in attendance it was fairly informal, a pleasant time
to chat and catch up. It informally came
to order at 2:00pm and ended at roughly 2:30pm.
The March 2nd meeting at our new location,
Foutch’s Pub, came to order at 7:12pm. We had two guests; Rick and Pam Long of
the CMA and one new member; Jim James for a total of 26 in attendance.
The pledge of allegiance was said and prayer by guest
Rick Long.
The Treasure, Secretary and R.C. reports were read and
accepted.
The meeting came to close at 8:04pm

Marte sent a shout
out to Larry and Liza for attending Pizza and Pop at the Capitol. It was a lot
of fun and a fantastic opportunity to talk with our Reps and others. We had a
great time and the pizza was good. Thank you Larry and Booboo for stepping up
to read Marte’s L.O. report during her hibernation, with any luck she will be
here to read it herself next month.
Larry Flood has the
State Bike Raffle tickets. If you need more, please get with him or Carrie.
This is a big money maker for ABATE and every cent counts.
Basic Bob and Region
20 need Area Coordinators to step up. Every member is an area coordinator at
least we all should be. Area coordinators are so very important to our region;
it is their job to get the word out about the region. It is their
responsibility to make sure our flyers are where people can see them and read
them and then participate in our events and potentially become members or at
least supporters. What does that mean? It means you take them to the corner
bar, gas station, grocery store, etc. by your house. Please, see Basic Bob and
become an Area Coordinator.
